Hello Daniel,

I have no infos that Hans Sturm ever recieved any tank destruction badges.

But is the man at the Landser magazine really Hans Sturm ?? I think no. There is another Landser magazine about him.

Hi Daniel,I have in my collection his book with
his autograph and I cannot find in any of the photos,
wearing the Pz destruction badge and according to his
uniform jacket which there is a photo non on the sleeve,
he was a wearer of the Bandenkampfabzeichen (Bronze) May 1944
which might be of interest too you

This is from Ebay.

Caption is correct that it was Obst Gittner. But who was the RK winner. Unlikely to be (Gerhard) Stein as E-Bay seller suggested.

During Gittner's tenure as Oberst, he was:
OberQM AOK15
Kmdr of 5 Jg Div
Kmdr of 292 Div.

Stein was with 30 Div when he won the RK in Nov 44 after Gittner made Genmj.

Who else could it be?
Erich Klier , Jg.Rgt. 56 , decorated by Oberst Gittner, Kdr. 5. Jäg.Div. / AHF id
Cheers

Thank you Dieter. He does look like Klein

Wondering what's the connection between him being the RgtAdj of 551 GrRgt, 329 Div, II Corp, AOK 16 in the Northern Theatre in April of 44 and Gittner being Kmdr of 5 Jg Div in HrGr Mitte?

FANGIO, could it be Leutnant Franz-Josef Beerenbrock, the later Oak Leaves winner? They do look alike.

best,
Miha

It is not Beerenbrock, he became his Eichenlaub as Oberfeldwebel.
