This is strange. I swear I posted my answer earlier on. Somehow it disappeared. No, it's Hans Siegler of 5/JgRgt 49, 28 Jg Div. The sleeve badge was that of a Jäger, not Gebirgsjäger.

Thank you Alex, much appreciated.

As to Boltenstern, yes, really looks like him. If so, same occassion as his RK verleihung presented by Lemelsen. Now there was this pre-3rd Reich golden eagle badge (can't remember off hand what it was) that was quite common among senior officers. Maybe that would provide confirmation as to whether it was Boltenstern or not.

Three related pictures. Can anyone confirm and shed more light on the others?

Image

Oberst xxx, Oberst Müller, Dr. Mxxxx, Kreisleiter Ochsner, Standartenführer Gabel...., Landrat xxx?
I don't think it was Ludwig Müller who was division commander of 198 Div

Image

xxxx, Oberfeldw. Billmeier, Major Julier (Landau)
The order of the names don't make sense here compared with the first pic.

Close up of Ochsner?
