Knight's Cross Holders Identification
Source of bottom pic: Kai Winkler, from left to right x, y, Heinz Frank and Druschel (not shown), with very doctored RK's so pic taken in earlier times. My guess for x is Peter Gassmann and y was Johannes Meinicke. Any idea? All II(Schlg)/LG2, Schlg1 or SG1

I had to move in order to avoid double post:
D. Z.Wilfried Abenaschon wrote:Hi,FANGIO wrote:Two pictures from "Luftwaffe - The Illustrated history of the German Air Force in WWII" (Dr John Pimlott).
The first one has been posted (I think) here in this forum. I can recognize Rudel, don`t know who's the General on the right (I'm sure I've seen him several times) and have absolutely no idea of who could the officer on the extreme left be (half of his RK can be seen).
In the second one the caption says it's von Weichs but obviously there's an error, this is GFM Model. The question is who's the man on the left with his RK?
That was posted by Fangio but with only 2 names: Rudel in the middle and Buschenhagen in the far right. Who are the other generals???

Max Schrank looks like an ObstLt here. So pic was between 17.07.41 when he earned RK and 01.04.42 when he was promoted Obst. He was then with 5 Geb Div and 71 Div. The RKT was a GebJg from the sleeve badge -- but I come up empty as to who he was.

Hi Fangio,
That's very exciting. Pic of Hptm Gerhard Morich. Fellow 4/KG4 General Wever pilot. Odenhardt was his beobachter. Never seen before, at least by my count.
100% sure as you can make out from upper left hand corner of pic, plus death date was indeed 21.01.1986

Hi Dieter,
Thank you for ID. but pic one remains a mystery. Not surprisingly, 71 Div was enagged in training when Schrank was assigned to its teaching staff there weren't any RKT during his stay there.
