Hello, I have done a book called LRDG RHODESIA
see the website http://www.dandy.co.za
am busy with the 2nd edition.
I am looking for German photos to include of the 'Battle of Leros"
please anyone have any scans, even just one?
our book is a labour of love, its outstanding, about the S Patrol,LRDG at Clidi Hgts, Leros.
any photos from the battle will be welcomed.

In the year 1999 Czech history study Dr.Pilat-Leopard ,Taifun,Damokles, operation Dodekanesos.However no english speak.Study from German archives,no journalist invention!Photo no.Leros insel is private WW2 museum Mr.Tasos.

is it out of a book or do you have the photo?

we would need a scan at 300dpi if possible please.

Photo is propaganda stamp, not book,1944 original.I sent copy for you high quality,I am 52years old, computer not my hobby,my son send for you this picture wait 2 days,your www address.

The books look interesting, I hope you find original photos to include.

I can't help with photos but I should like to recommend a book I've just finished reading:
'Churchill's Folly' Leros and the Aegean by Anthony Rogers ISBN 0-304-36151-8 published in 2003.
I suppose you have read it but just incase you haven't I've put it here. There are many refs to LRDG, SBS and SAS(one only). There is also a good set of photos, and the Introduction has good info and names.
