Caption said I/FernAG 122. I only have 4 RKT pilots ranked Leutnant and above unidentified from this unit. Can anyone tell if this was any of the following:
Nikolaus Büsen
Alfred Gemsjäger
Hans Strassmair
Richard Taubert
Pic seems to show a Lt. Gemsjäger and Strassmair were LTs when they won the RK
And now a couple of bomber pilots....

Cheers
Freiherr

Neither looks like Taubert. Gemsjäger was awarded KC posthumously so he could be the one on the left. I have no picture of Büsing.

Thanks, John. Just a very timely post. According to Scherzer, what you posted was Wagenfeld. Scherzer is clearly wrong -- I have other pics of Wagenfeld. But may I ask you your source?
This was an interesting find from Ebay. The first pic showed a person that served with 5/FAG122!!! There were two not very clear pics of RKTs in this album. One said Mitau and I could see it was Werner Breese. This second one said Pleskau. I believe 5/FAG was in Pleskau 8.41 to 11.41 -- the only ObFwb RKT from FAG122 was Günther Becker who won it on 28/2/45. Any idea?

Thank you Freiherr.
My photo came from the Scherzer CD as far as I recall.
As regards FAG 122, what prompted me to post on the other thread was the photo currently on Kai Winkler. I knew that Nemecek was awarded the same day as Hemmer, but the man in the Kai Winkler picture did not look like the Nemecek photo I have.
I have no photo of Günther Becker.

Hi John,
In which case we are not sure what you posted was Taubert. I saw that at the Kai Winkler site too. I have a couple more pics of Nemecek and it was the same guy. Perhaps you can PM me your e-mial address and we can compare notes.
As to other Winkler new found treasures, I don't recognize 32901, 32911 and 32912, 32913, 32914.
The others are pretty straight forward:
32903 and 32904 Tritsch
32908 Peter Paul Breu
32902 Kurt Bühligen
32909 Fritz Köhler, incidentally Kmdr of FAG122
32910 Hanns Heise
Cheers

Gr. 79, but here is the glich, the RK winner is wearing a field grey Assault gunners wrap. would this be the case as Kommandeur of I./PZ G. 79 or is the pic possibly just that, one of the Sturmgeschütze units ?
many thanks in advance of any information .....
