Italian 202nd Coastal Artillery Records?

#1

Post by mas » 30 Apr 2006, 06:13

I am searching for records of the 202nd Coastal Artillery of the dates, times, and locations of shooting down Allied planes over Sicily during July 1943. Can anyone help tell me where I could find such records?

mas,

I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that I can't help you in your search for records. Your interest in the Italian Coastal Artillery, however, makes me hope that you might be able to help me. I posted an enquiry the other day in the "Various Militaria and Collecting in General" forum about an insignia that I am trying to identify. Today I received a reply in the "Italy Under Fascism" forum suggesting that it might be the insignia of the Coastal Artillery. Do you have any resources that could help to confirm this, and that might tell me more about this unit? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Douglas
