Thank you very much Simon, I really appreciate you finding that information.

Does anyone know what that eagle is for that he wears just below his Iron Cross is for?

?? he's not wearing any 'eagle' below either of his iron crosses. If you're refering to the eagle on the upper right of his jacket then that's the politicized national insignia introduced for wear within the armed forces after the nazis took power and all part of the process of gaining control and the obedience of the armed forces.

Hi Adrenalin, i think you Must be my Aunts Grand son. I just found your Post on this page.
Please contact me. I am really interssted in the information and the book you wrote about.

If you think I am a weird strange guy, I can tell you something about our Aunt in France. In your case grand aunt. Or about my mother. The youngest of the three sisters.

Kindly

Hello
I hope somebody can+will reply to my question (concerning the 24.Pz.Div.).
Did he ever command the Kradsch.Abt. 4 ???
I have a source reporting that he commanded this Abt. between end Aug. and beginning oct. 42 (wrong ? Maybe for a short time only ?). If he didn' t command this Abt., what did he command during the same time only (E.08. - A.10.42) ?
Thanks, Rossano

Hello,
Where can one locate full biographical material on Alexander von Scheele?
Was he the same officer posted to Spain around 1938?
