The Baron von Hammerstein mentioned was Fritjof Freiherr von Hammerstein-Gesmold(1870-1944).Commanded Freikorps Brigade Olita in Kurland,1919.Charakter als Generalleutnant in 1939(One of those promoted on the 25th Anniversary of Tannenberg in 1939.His 146th Regiment had fought in that battle as well).Tosun Saral wrote:Turkish Col. Hans Guhr say in his book that p.235
"On Nov.4th 1918 Feldmarshal Liman Pasha arrived with his doughters and adjutants at Haydarpasha Railway Station. I went to wellcome him with General von Lenthe and Maj.Lynker.... Each day 800 or 1000 German soldiers were arriving to Istanbul from various parts of Turkey. On Nov. 11st 1918 there were already 730 German officers and 9600 men in the camps of Haydarpasha and Moda. With this men a new "Reinforced Asian Corps" was founded under command of Lt.Col. Baron von Hammarstein who was commander of 146th German Inf. Reg."
TS's note: Haydarpasha is the main station of Bagdad Railway on the shore of Bosphrous. Moda is a districh on Asian side of Istanbul on the shore of Marmara sea.Moda is now a luxus district where rich Istanbuler living.

Heinrich Wintzer(1892-1947)

First as a second lieutenant on the western front in France Wintzer of beginning of war participated in numerous battles, 22. until 23 August 1914 in the battle with Neufchâteau, 24. until 29 August 1914 in the battle to the Maas, 30 August until 5 September 1914 at the pursuit of the Maas to the Marne, and finally 6. until 11 September 1914 to the Marneschlacht. To July 1916 a large number of position fights followed, under it 21 February to 20. March 1915 the winter battle in the Champagne. To 15. March 1915 was promoted to first lieutenant.
In July 1916 Wintzer was shifted as an aide of the Chief of Staff to the Caucasus army, and participated with it from 28 August 1916 to 9 January 1918 in the position fights of the Caucasus front, among them on 31 October of 1916 engagements with Tisebchu and 28 January 1917 bombardment of Kerasund. On 9 February 1918 he became an aide of the leader school for generals and general staff officers in Konstantinopel.
On 18 August 1918 to the captain carried Wintzer returned to the west front and participated with the Prussian field artillery regiment 83 in the position fights in the Argonnen and the battle between Argonnen and Maas. After the conclusion of the armistice on 11 November 1918 it began the rear march with its troop by Lorraine, Pfalz, Baden and Württemberg.
