Pics are a bit small. It is VERY nice weathered, that KT!
Some things I noticed:
1) I can't see it 100% but, it looks like the front MG is gone?
2) I like the scene/setting with the German surrendering. Nicely done. Unfortunatly you don't have close-ups of that section
3) It is not 100% clear to me why the tank is on it's side, I don't see a cause.
4) The hits on the tank by small arms fire are nicely done btw.

1) MGs were often removed from the immobilized tanks to be used by the crew... during the escapeJurrie wrote: Some things I noticed:

3) To "fastly" free the street or the passage from the obstacle
Surely not fastly at all, but faster than pulling out an immobilized tank without a track; ther're a good number of shots of tanks on its side near the streets on the net, for example the famous Tiger I shot : http://www.achtungpanzer.com/images/tiger4.jpgStormbird wrote: How 'Fastly' can you move a 40 tonne knockout out tank.........I'm thinking not very fast at all.........
For example this machine, with a knocked out 68 ton Tiger II (from the book "VK4502 to Tiger II" of Jentz&Doyle)Stormbird wrote:also what kinda machinery is capable of turning a 40 tonne tank on its side??

About 1), that;s indeed a logical explenation. But 3), I don't think it is 100% in a natural position. I don't see it's support. Í don't know why. The Tiger in the pic shows more how it is laying on it's side.Ace31 wrote:1) MGs were often removed from the immobilized tanks to be used by the crew... during the escapeJurrie wrote: Some things I noticed:

Yes you showed a pic of a Dozer capable of pushing a tank but there is no way that thing would be capable of lifting it onto its side. Also i know that there are a number of pic of tanks on their side, but if you look at most of them they involve ditchs/trenchs where they are pushed into which gives the impression of the tank being on its side, where it is really just pushed down the bank. While your model seems to show flat ground with a tank on its side, plus if you are implying that a dozer pushed your tank on its side how did it fit between the wall and the tank. By the looks the wall seems fairly close to the tank so the wouldn't be enough space between the two for a dozer to fit to try and push. At least not in a way for it to tip a tank over...........

Sorry but I don't understand which wall you are referring to... ther's no wall in this diorama... it start with the damaged street, the wall belongs to another scene.
A dozer able to push and move a tank by its side winning the friction that derives by this movement I think would be strong enought to lift on its side also using a little depression of the ground... the pic of the Tiger I seems, to me, very similar to the scene of this diorama.

even though i see some comments on the KT diorama, I think the idea is really cool and you get a thumbs up for originality on the diorama. very nicely done! i admire your work, your models have outstanding quality.
i was wondering though, how you managed to get the white-ish shade on this tank?

i love that style of painting. did you use an airbrush? or some other technique?
best regards
