Yes arcano - "Cross of Iron" is the correct answer, and now it's over to you for the next question.

Best regards.

Thank you,Potsdamerplatz, but you are talking about of one of my favourite war movies.
Well, let's see...following the style of the last question, here are 5 clues:

1) The film was released in 1962.

2) The director was Guy Hamilton.

3) One of the actors (not leading role ) was Harry Andrews.

4) The action was in North Africa.

5) British and Italians was the contenders.

Regards to all,gentlemen.

I think the movie is "Ice Cold In Alex" with John Mills, Anthony Quayle, Sylvia Sims and Harry Andrews. They are all trapped behind enemy lines in North Africa and John Mills wants to get back to Alexandria for a cold beer!!! :P  :D

Best regards.

OK, when the Russians invaded Czechaslovakia in 1968 they encountered US Army units (or so they thought), equipped with loads of WWII vehicles, involved in the filming of a movie about WWII. What was the movie?

As the two men walk to their deaths, one of the actors in this film puts his hand out towards the other who takes hold of it. This was an unscripted moment improvised on the spot between the two actors - and this was the take used in the finished film. Years later the star was shocked to learn that in reality the two executed had held hands in this exact same fashion.

What was the film, who were the actors and who was it in real life.....

MMM, not a bad guess.

OK, who while serving as a private helped write, direct and acted in a major war movie?
