For different Waffen-Gruppen, I have the strength:
1. Ostmuselmanisches SS-Regiment at its peak: 1800 men (I. & II./1. Ostmuselm. SS-Rgt. forming Waffen-Gruppe "Turkestan"; III./1. Ostmuselm. SS-Rgt. (helped) forming Waffen-Gruppe "Idel-Ural")
Waffen-Gebirgs-Brigade der SS (tatar. Nr. 1) at its peak: 3520 men. (W-Geb.Brig. d.SS forming Waffen-Gruppe "Krim".) 1100 ethnic Germans were given to other SS-units. So 2420 Tatars were left.
Waffen-Gruppe "Armenien" at its peak: 2000 men.
Waffen-Gruppe "Aserbaidschan" with osttürkischen Waffen-Verband der SS: 400 men.
Waffen-Gruppe "Aserbaidschan" with kaukasischen Waffen-Verband der SS: 1000 men.
Armenische_Legionar wrote:He told me, that an Anti-tank unit was joined to Waffen-Gruppe on April 1945.
This could come from 2 different units:

a.) russische Grenadier-Brigade 599 (bodenständig)
Have a look at the Gren.Rgt. 1607 (kauk.)
Image

b.) Panzer-Jagd-Verband 12 (kauk.)(/Panzer-Jagd-Brigade "R")

I would tend to say that the variant b) is the more likely.

Armenische_Legionar wrote:On my opinion Sarkis Varduni is a pseudonim of Vardan Sarkissian... This is a same person.
Vardan Sarkissian was "A General of Armenian united liberation army".
Than he told me, that the German command on march 1945 decided to reorganized the Waffen-gruppe to an Armenian Brigade, but the war was over.
That's correct.
With 23rd March 1945 a Caucasian National Liberation Army should be formed.
Chief of Staff of the complete Caucasian Army should be General Bičerachow; Oberst, later Generalmajor Sarkissian should be second in command.
The Caucasian Liberation Army should content:
Waffen-Verband der SS "Kaukasien"
Panzer-Jagd-Verband 12 (kauk.)
Grenadier-Regiment 1607 (kauk.)
and other smaller units.

Michi thanks!! that's it!

But I don't think, that the WG "Armenien" peak 2000 men. It's so much for the Waffen group, which organized from little destroted Armenian formations.
In which archives you find this info?

Panzer-Jagd-Verband 12 (kauk.)(/Panzer-Jagd-Brigade "R") partisipated in the battle of Berlin. That's right, 2 companies, served from Armenians partisipated too. And the commander of one of these units was Oberst Tigran Bagdasarian

Hello everybody ,I am a brand new member . I am looking for informations about Major Abdurahman Fatalibeyli-Dudanginski .I have colected very contradictory and confused
informations about him.He was Major in the Soviet Army by age 33 ,thats Ok but then ,did he deserted and when Or may he was recruited by Germans from the masses of Soviet POWs they had in their hands.A very old man from Caucasus now living in Paris( red army ,prisoner in Poland, and sent to south of France in 1943 in the atlantic wall) told me he was a member of 4.Gebirgs-Division that climbed the Elbrus in august 1942.Other sources ,Abo was a member of Sonderverband Bergmann or the Kaukasischer-Mohammedanische Legion or Kaukasische Waffen-Verband der SS .Please help me.

Hi Clement

Major Fatalibejli Dudanginskij was orderly officer to the Aserbeidschanische Infanteriebataillon 804. When the commandant of this unit, Major Dr. Gloger, died, he was provisional commandant of the unit.

This is the only that I have.

Regards

Juanjo thanks for the quick reply
I had some informations already about 804
Aserbeidschanische Infanterie Bataillon 804 „Aslan” (name unofficial, but written on battalion pennant)•
Formed 3.07.1942 as Kaukasisch-Mohammedanische Inf. Btl. 804, renamed 22.07.1942 on Aserb. Inf. Btl. 804, renamed 11.09.1944 on I./GR 329 w 162. (Turk.) ID. CO from 10.10.42 was Maj. Kurt Gloger (DKiG 21.03.43), from 10.03.43 Hptm. Haverland
No trace of Abo ,in the beginning of 1943 of 1943 he was supposed to be in Berlin ,so the quest continue
Thanks again for the info.
