SS-Junkerschulen
I've been wondering:
I know that the first SS-Junkerschule was opened in Tölz and that another one followed at the Residenzschloss in Braunschweig. I also know about a third at Dachau, but I remember reading somewhere that yet another Junkerschule was supposed to have been at the Wewelsburg.
Could anyone here inform me on this topic, please ...?

Hi Freiherr;
To find out everything there is to know about Wewelsburg's SS activities and personnel, the only exhaustive and immensely documented work is : " Wewelsburg 1933 bis 1945 - Kult und Terrorstätte der SS" - Eine Dokumentation" by Prof. Karl Hüser (1982 Verlag Bonifatius - Druckerei Paderborn). The book, which is large (over 450 pages) is packed with unreleased elsewhere info, fac-simile and tons of rare photographs. It covers all sides of the question : architecture, Bartels (the architect), Himmler, the building crew, furniture, ceremonies, SS personnel, activities and work, as well as the little known concentration camp linked to the castle. It is of course available from the Kreismuseum at Wewelsburg. I tried last week to post some interesting pics but am having great trouble reducing the pixels to fit the forum's postage requirements.

Re: SS-Junkerschulen
There was no Junkerschule at Dachau but there was a Führerschule der Wirtschafts Verwaltungs there under Kurt Ludwig 25.9.37 - 1.10.37, Julian Scherner to 1.12.39 Johannes Baier to 1.11.43 Georg Bochmann to 15.11.44 and \Wilhelm Karius to 4.4.45. The other Junkerschulen were at Klagenfurt from 1.9.43 under Walter Bestmann and Prag from 7.1944 under Wolfgang JoerchelFreiherr von Graff wrote:I've been wondering:

SS-Schule at Dachau
Thanks everyone!
Regarding Dachau; I remember reading (somewhere) that this was an Unterführerschule, but there WAS supposed to be a SS-Schule of some kind at Dachau!
Without reading the above mentioned book: Did the Wewelsburg house a SS-School of any kind, please?

As I mentioned above there was a leadership School at Dachau in addition to the SS Führer-Schule des Wirtschafts-Verwaltungsdienstes. Here is a document showing it was established for leaders of the Sturmbannen and Standarten of the Allgemeine-SS.
