OTL Fhr. Ernst von Jungenfeld & Staff of PR 35
Gentlemen, he was Kdr. of Panzerjägerregiment 656 with "Zitadelle", but Neumann's Chronik of 4. PD does not give anymore than that the staff of PR 35 (which had formed the staff PJR 656) returned after 656 was disbanded...
Who has more on the fate of this man?

IIRC, late autumn 1944 he was helping Bulgarians to form their first armoured division. Tanks and most of the equipment came from Germany.
When it became clear that Bulgaria was going to bail out, Guderian send a message to von Jungenfeld saying that he should not give delivery of tanks (88 Pz IV and 40+ Stug III) to Bulgarians but instead directed them to 4. SS-Polizei-Division but at that time it was too late.
Bulgarians later used those tanks against Germans.
What happened to von Jungenfeld after that I don´t know.
I´m not 100% certain of my information because I rely on my memory while writing this. Perhaps some of our Bulgarian members could help you

Thank you!
I have indeed to expand my original question as we need here an interforal cooporation to solve the riddles of the Staff of Panzerregiment 35, the Old and the New one.
To get the basics what it is all about please read the started questions and given answers both on feldgrau and Panzer-Archiv, starting with Harry's question what the fate of this staff was after PzJgRgt. was diesbanded:
Feldgrau
Panzer-Archiv
What we need is to clarify which persons of the old staff were used to build the new staff in Spring 1944 (Kdr. of the "new" Staff was Oberst Christern)!
Any help much apreciated!

Another hint to Freiherr von Jungenfeld in 1945 can be found in the documents posted by Martin Block here:
Jan-HendrikOberst v. Jungenfeld ist endgültig zum Kdr. d. Heeres-Panzer-Jagd-Verbände Weichsel ernannt.

Re: OTL Fhr. Ernst von Jungenfeld & Staff of PR 35
Sorry to revive an old thread, but in case anyone is still interested:
Written commendation from Generalleutnant Ernst Rupp (Div.Kdr. 97. Jäger-Div.) on 14 February 1943 to 1./Pz.Jg.Abt. 235 mentions "Especially the company under the proven leadership of Otl. Freiherrn v. Jungenfeld distinguished itself in the heavy fighting in Grigorewskaya." ("Besonders hat sich die Kompanie unter der dabei bewährten Führung des Otl. Freiherrn v. Jungenfeld in den schweren Kämpfen in GRIGOREWSKAJA ausgezeichnet.") Found in NARA, T315, 1193, p.1009. Decided to Google him when I came across the name and this thread was the top result.

Interested in any/all information re: 97. Jäger (Leichte Infanterie) Division, incl. J.R/204, J.R./207, A.R. 81, and especially A.A. 97
