On the famous picture we have:

Left to right:

General Sir Thomas Blamey, Australia
Colonel Lawrence Moore Cosgrave, Canada
General Jacques LeClerc, France
Admiral Conrad E.L. Helfrich, The Netherlands
Air Vice Marshall Leonard M. Isitt, New Zealand.
Lieutenant General Richard K. Sutherland, US Army

A google image search on: macarthur and surrender will give you other pictures from this occasion as well as this one in a larger version.

Kind Regards

The generals were Major General Emil Reinhardt, commanding officer of the US 69th Infantry Division, and Major General Vladimir Rusakov, commanding officer of the Soviet 58th Guards Rifle Division. The picture was taken in Torgau in April 1945. (see the "Victory of Europe" by George Stevens, Jr.,)

On the Jalta picture we have standing have:

From Second left

Lord Leathers (British Minister of War Transport)
Anthony Eden (British Foreign Secretary)
Edward Stettinius (US Secretary of State)
Alexander Cadogan (British Permanent Under-Secretary at the Foreign Office)
V.M. Molotov
Averill Harriman (US Ambassador to the USSR)

I don't who the two persons on either side are.

Btw. Neville Chamberlain died in 1940!

Duchamp,
You have a mistake in second row no. 2 from left. This is not general Alexander but general Hollis. See the first picture on the first page of this thread.
