This is great...has anyone here toyed with the idea of making a virtual model of the Reichskanzlei using Google Sketchup?

I have made the Reichskanzlei Ehrenhof and the Hauptportal (main entrance) with google sketchup in the 1:1 size.
But I need the full modelled Regierungsviertel to add it to google earth.

Is it correct that the eagle is facing to the left? I have heard, that a official states eagle of the period has to face to the right!

You could be right. Wotan2 I'll have to check. I think this came from a book on the building but not sure. Here is another great image I found in my files...

Those are wonderful pictures of the Reickanzlei. Here's a picture of an ex libris gummed sticker that would have been in books in the chancellery library. Does anyone have a picture of the library?

Cheers,

I B Piper

Thanks,

Beautiful picture of a sticker.

I didn't notice the picture posted earlier was of the library. I should have noticed 'bibliotek'. I'm not too good with German, but I know enough French to have figured it out if I were paying attention. How about the Gaderobe? I think you've seen my chits for that room.

Piper, perhaps I find a good picture of the garderobe.
My dream is to get a photocollection with pictures from every single room and all the things inside the cupboards...

Does someone know what the cupboards contained?
