Hello

Here some picture's of the 5 cm Flak 41 , this gun was not widely accepted because only +/- 60 guns were made .

(1) The gun mounted on a truck , please note the special designed rangefinder
(2) Look like the gun on a shooting range
(3) The gun in a medium flak batterie at Calais

Photo's from Alain Chazette and Ebay

Great pictures, first time i've ever seen what the loadtray actually locked like.
Anybody got any more that clearly show the loadingtray ?

@ruud: normally "Üb" was short for "Übung",not "u".
"u" as for "Unterricht" can be found on some german ordnance.

Best regards,

Zünder

Hi Jos

A six round clip is for a 3.7cm FlaK 18 or 36. The 3.7 cm Flak 43 had a eight round clip and the 5cm was a five round clip.

Would someone have a list of units who operated the 5 cm Flak 41 and specifically along the Atlantikwall ? Was it operated only by the Luftwaffe or also by the Heer?

Separately, here is a picture of a captured 5 cm Flak 41 from the book “German Artillery at War 1939—45 Vol.2” by Frank De Sisto. No location is indicated.
