i have a HMS Prince (17th c.) kit from Airfix, from 1976 or 77, and a few emhar kits nut not that old.
there is also a 1/87 H0 scale leopold railwaygun from lima. can be found now and then on ebay. haven't seen other railway guns except those from REI military on http://www.reynaulds.com. but the price is prohibitive.

Bill - keep an aye out for a 1/35 K5(e) from Dragon very soon. The Karl mortar is cuurently available (£65 Sterling) from the same company. Apprently Trumpeter is to release a K5(e) as well.Bill Medland wrote:A "collectible model kit" list would have to include the Hasegawa Mörser Karl on railway carrier and the Leopold railgun, both in 1:72.
These kits reach Germany in ones and twos in German model shops about twice a year. I have several friends in Germany that are always on the lookout for them.
Altough I am not really a fan of 1:72 scale or Hasegawa, they look cool on my World War Two Model Railroad! 8)
I just wish the rail guns were available in 1:35! Then I could build a Garden railroad, well we can dream![]()
Regards,Bill.
The Missing Links website has some more about them on their Axis forum.

Also Dragon/DML is - or has come out with a 1/35th scale railway gun --- seems to be running about $80-90.00 US ... It is in the August Squadron mail order flyer ---

I think it is the same as Hasegawa's 1/72nd kit -- ie the 'Leopold'

No it ain't the biggest!
Dunno if this counts but we have the "Biggest model Tiger in the World" over her in England - and it DRIVES!!!!
1:1 scale based on a T-55 body and an Abbott SPG turret.......
Would you class it as "modelling?
