Bauformen in Norway

#1

Post by 20P7 » 04 Mar 2008, 15:18

Hello members,

actually I’m busy with studies about german bunker design / Bauformen along the Atlantikwall in Norway. In several documents from 1943 to 1945 you can find so-called F – standard design bunkers, but only the numbers are mentioned. I didn’t find any drawing at all until now. Please find enclosed a list of F-types mentioned in different sources.

Can anybody help with drawings of any of such types:

F 41 = Geschützstand

F 67 = Leitstand

F 70 = Munitionsauffüllraum

F 71 = Maschinenzentrale

F 82 = lei. Flakstand

F 83 = lei. Flakstand

F 88 = Peilstand

F 89 = Geschützstand

F 92 = lei. Flakstand

F 94 = Gefechtsverbandsplatz

F 95 = Leitstandsanbau

F 96 = Torpedobttr. Otteröy

F 97 = Torpedobttr. Julholmen

F 101 = Peilstand

F 106 = Leitstandsanbau (385 ccm Stahlbeton)

F 118 = Küstenturm, Bettung für C 43 (860 ccm Stahlbeton)

F 162 = Geschützschartenstand ( 720 ccm Stahlbeton)

F 165 = Geschützbettung (145 ccm Stahlbeton)

F 172 = Geschützschartenstd. ( 720 ccm Stahlbeton)

F 178 = Rundumgeschützstd., Bettung für C 43 / (695 - 700 ccm Stahlbeton)

MP 68 = Leitstand in vf (240 / 340 ccm Stahlbeton)

Leitstd. A/44 = Vf Feuerleitstd. (210 ccm Stahlbeton)

Leitstd. M 404 = feldm. Feuerleitstd. (95 ccm Stahlbeton)

With the help of such drawings maybe this summer during our fieldexercices we will get the opportunity to prove the lists wrong or right and to find out if and where such types were build.

Beside this I’m looking for drawings of this navy bunker types, that are mentioned in connection with the project of “Verbunkerung” of MKB Husoen:

Regelbau S 577 for the turret

Regelbau S 578a for the ammunition room

Additional cover for the ammunition elevators like Regelbau S 578c

Any help / tip is highly welcome!

Daniel

Hello Jos,

thanks for this link, but there we also have got only suggestions. What really would help would be a map with drawings of those F-types!

In the case of the F 108 we have an idea what the design looks like, for many other F-types we don't..............

Greetings

Daniel

Aha,

do you think so?

Well, I don't think that's true. If I can help solving a puzzle, I always give my input.

Prehaps you should resolve your issues with 20P7 by PM?

Hello

Attached is a photo of the leitstand of MKB 3/506 Lökhaugen here in Norway. It looks like the same one in the picture. The first one I have ever seen in a picture.
According to Erik E. this is a bunker of the Falkenhost series, F106.
The only difference is that this bunker has a roofed floor for the rage finder.

Hello Jos and C.Hoff,

we found this kind of naval standard design firecontrolbunker in several navy batteries along the norwegian coasts.

Here are two pictures from MKB Nordfjord and MKB Nordberg (Lista).

Greetings

Hello

Nice pictures. Do you have any pictures from the inside?
I have just been inside the one at MKB Lökhaugen so it would have been nice to see the interiour of these as well.

Well, the firecontrolpost at MKB Nordberg is closed, so I have got no interior pictures, but the one at MKB Nordfjord is accessible. I will post interior pictures as soon as possible.

Hello

I have some sad news. Not only the Leitstand, but the entire battery of MKB 3/506 is demolished.
I have not been there my self after the tragedy, but I have seen pictures.
All because of the battery area becoming a cottage area.

Do any of you know how the rest of the bunkers of the F-series in the list looks like? Information highly apprisiated.

Hello

Looking again at the F-standen in Norway it looks that AFAIK all were build or planned at M.K.B. and were not used in
by the Army ( Heer ) is that correct ??? And may I ask were other F numbers from Daniel came from ( they are not from Bauplan 44 or 45 ) ???

Regards and I wich you all a Healty and Happy 2010 Jos
