► Jagdtiger
The Jagdtiger (305001) is real.
You can see from the background in the first pic that it was photographed at Kummersdorf.
Hartmut/Matthias/Andrew, I waited a while to see if you would post this first!

Re: Jagdtiger photos
Based on the machine gun mount on the rear deck and the fact that it's on the western front, coupled with the mud guard exhaust shield, my guess is that it's Fgst. 305058.
Re: jagdtiger photos
Hello Christian.
Ithink it is JT "332" from sPzJgAbt 653. I have Fgst. 305058 as "X7" from sPzJgAbt 512.
Regards Uli.

Great photo. I would have liked to have gotten to it in time to have rescued the optics....

Anybody know the source of these pics?
These photos were posted on a forum recently (I don't remember which forum) - it said they came from the History of the 71st Infantry Division. I just found an original copy of that book, and these photos are not in it anywhere (or any other Jagdtiger photos).
Does anyone know what book these photos came from?

Re: jagdtiger photos
Hello everybody!
It is JT No.115. It broke down and was blown up by crew in a field near Schwetzingen on 30th March. Photo from Panzerwrecks nº3 This pic is from Munch and Devey´s books. They says that it is JT115 but
1º Left fender is missing
2º The gun shield is in its place
3º The barrel is not strait and not in the same angle
4º there are no trees nor buildings
I found this one in Internet 1º The right fender is up and there is a hole on it
2º The gun shield is missing
3º The barrel is in the same angle
4º there are trees behind
Does anyone know the origin of photos 2 and 3? I would like to get a better copy of them, Are they printed in any publication? Any information is wellcome!
Regards!!

Re: jagdtiger photos
Off topic, but is there a thread showing the black-white teddy bear emblem on a Jagdtiger? Couldn't find it using the forum search.
Re: jagdtiger photos
Hello!
I have seen a photo of the bear in this forum:
http://modelforum.upce.cz/forum/viewtop ... a&start=30
It appears in "Last of the Panzers" by Bill Auerbach. Taken at the end of the War, it shows a US and Russian soldier posing on a Jagdtiger.
You can read a bit about the bear in this forum:

Hello!
http://www.thirdreichruins.com/spjabt653.htm
Jagdtiger blown up in Etterschlag, near Munich, end of April 1945
http://www.45thdivision.org/Photo_Galle ... an_SP1.jpg
This is a picture from a GI of 645th TD batt. 45th ID. From Nurnberg, the 45th went to Munich and After the fall of Munich, the Battalion was charged with securing Munich and Dachau.
In the 645th gallery are photos of Me262. The JV44 flew from Munich-Riem, Salzburg-Maxglan, Ainring ( Platzschutz ) and Innsbruck, at end of the war. It used strips of autobahn as airfields, and autobahn A8 were in use those days.
In mid April s.pz.jg.abt 653 withdrew towards Salzsburgo through Munich. Some JT were destroyed near Ammersee.
There were three Jagdtigers lost in the Crailsheim-Nürnberg area. Could be these three?
Anybody knows how many Jagdtiger in s.pz.jg.abt 653? 43? 42?
Knocked out by 4 shermans of the 14th AD near Munichhttp://www.thirdreichruins.com/spjabt653.htm
