Hi, triangle was a quite popular tactical sign. Many soviet tank or SP units used something looks like triangle. In sector of the Heeresgruppe “Mitte” could be several soviet tank / mechanized units using a triangle as a tactical sign.
The report was send on April 25th, in middle of the Bautzen battle where were involved units of the 2nd Polish Army, 52nd Army (with 7th Guards MC) and later elements 5th Guards Army (with 4th Guards TC). On April 24th fights concentrated in Bautzen and the nearest area, where 7th Guards MC was defending a city and 1st Polish Tank Corps had in the area most of it’s units.
An eagle could be just an imagination of the pilot. It is little probable to recognize that small emblem from the air. Pilot probably knew that in Bautzen area are polish units (but there were soviet units too, like whole 7th Guards MC and 254th Rifle Division) so when he saw a triangle with something inside he simply thought that is an eagle.
But these are only my guesses.
For example, triangle emblem in battle for Berlin was used by 95th TBr of the 9th TC (attached to 3rd Shock Army). Look at picture below:
