This gun was used by italian units during the battles in north africa.

Did this weapon have AP shells, or only HE shells for antiaircraft use?

Thanks

Eduard

epanzer,

I have the opposite in my notes:
8 cm vz. 37 = 76.5 mm – German “Beute” designation: 7,65 cm Flak 37(t)
8.35 cm vz. 22/24 = 83.5 mm – German “Beute” designation: 8.35 cm Flak 22(t)

and the 8 cm M.1928 = 7.65 cm actual caliber - L/50 - export version only so no "vzor" designation.

The Italians captured
4 84/55 M 31 (Italian designation), this might be Royal Yugoslav Navy stock and not Army.
24 76/32 Skoda M28
6 77/40 M 28

4 84/55 M31 Royal Yugolslav Navy intended for replacment old Škoda guns 9 cm M 12 on last two old ex German minelayers (four minelayers have already received new guns)
24 76/32 M28 were Škoda field guns 8 cm M.28 (8 cm exactly 76,5 mm)
6 77/40 M28 were Škoda AA guns 8 cm M.28 (8 cm exactly 76,5 mm)

Probably but the /32 and /40 means different tube length.
