Re: Interesting eBay pics
Hi all,
I found on Ebay this interesting image. I think a rare SdKfz 10 prototype for AA gun, probably a DEMAG DII 1,2 or 3. See the rare front wheels.

Re: Interesting eBay pics
Yes it's a Demag D ll 3 with fully rubber-tired in front axles. Some of that and of the Versuchs-Serie D6 were used as trial vehicles for the Flak 30.
One pic of a Versuchs-Serie Demag D6:

These photographs were about to be destroyed. The end of a person's life and history erased.
I rescued them in 2004 and since I have been unable to find a military archive interested in them I am now posting them for all to see.

Here's a better picture of bergepanzer tiger ( or a charge laying tiger for others ) that i posted earlyer.
In this picture you see more of the surrounding.
Don't for get to click on the picture, than the magnifying ,for a bigger picture (e-bay ).
I believe this vehicle is the same one show in these 2 picture.
http://www.achtungpanzer.com/images/bpzvi.jpg
http://panzerwaffe.pl/krzemek/tiger/bergetiger.jpg
But looking at this picture shown below ,i'm not quite sure that it is the same vehicle.
Because ,in the picture above you can only see grass or reed in the frond of the tiger
Looking at this picture shown below ,there has to be an earth bank just as high as the tiger hull????
Well the pictures where taken at different dates ,but i would say the earth bank would still be there .
On the other hand there is a telefoon wire laying over the tiger.
Is it the same vehicle?????
Pictures came from this topic: Bergepanzer tiger myth right.

Distinctive crescent shaped light colour paint or mark at front of turret side evident on both vehicles.
It's near the main pivot point for main gun.
That is what convinces me it is the same vehicle.
Your newer picture has some pipe or hose removed from hull side and mounting fixtures also gone.
The wheels and especially the wheel hubs seem to be the worse for wear but could be just the different angle and lighting.
Also something appears different at rear of left track maybe a link missing.
Below the white censored area also looks strange where mudguards should be.
If could see the mud guards would be a lot better for a positive id but I think they are removed.
Fence dropper and rail are also gone.
I think the bank is evident in both pictures.
In the last photo you posted can be seen two sticks of trees that can be seen two trees in the new picture.
Reeds grass etc can change quickly in an area that becomes swamped like that, any of those can change in a matter of weeks.
Thanks for sharing this good find.

Is this the same vehicle?
All the other photos seem to be of the same Tiger judging by the two built holes in the LHS exhaust heat shield.
Cheers

Good evening, Markus!
BT-2 was really a rare trophy - may be that's why so many Germans gathered to photo with it?
Best regards, Aleks

Panzer IV 812 should be from 7 Panzer Division. They were still using the solid black numbers at Kursk.peeved wrote:German armour during the 1942 Toulon French Fleet scuttle (Source eBay.de).

Re: Interesting eBay pics
This scene is from Kovel, March or April 1944. The Panther is from II/SSPanzer Regiment 5 u/c 4th Panzer Division. The Bef Panzer I is from Panzer Signals Battalion 79, 4th Panzer Division. Acting as Link between II/SSPR5 and 4PD. The Bef I was not listed by 4PD on monthly returns of strength and equipment as long obsolete. 4PD was probably the most efficient PD losing the least equipment.Sturm78 wrote:Thank you, Bert.
An interesting image showing a PzKpfw I command tank next to a PzKfw V Panther Ausf A. This photograph had to be taken in 1944 probably. It is incredible that a Panzerbefehlswagen I was still in service in 1944.
Image from Ebay.

Re: Interesting eBay pics
Not sure they can be called SPW 251/17's. Probably too early. Anyway, they belonged to Panzer Division 'Hermann Göring'. The pics here show conversion of HG Bde to Division in France. The tropical uniforms pic. is probably in Tunisia. 9 flak SPW's were sent. I doubt they got away to Sicily. Just possible the same pic. is actually in Italy Aug/Sept 1943. If so, part of Flak Regiment 'Hermann Göring'. That white disc with line from centre denotes battery number or whatever.peeved wrote:More of the same and a few other LW vehics.peeved wrote:Sd.Kfz. 251 with 2-cm-Flak 38, the Luftwaffe version (Source eBay.de).
