I can't recall coming across this vehicle much in my reading. So it was interesting to see the King and Country toy soldier company just issue a 1/30 scale die-cast version of it. It wasn't cheap....

The King and Counrty model is an earlier version - 8.8cm Flak 18 Selbstfahrlafette Auf Zugkraftwagen 12t which served in the French campaign and then into Russia where the last vehicles were knocked out in, I think, 1941.

Given that the model costs a staggering £199.95 I would have hoped they would have at least got the camo right - Panzer Grey. The three coloured scheme was introduced after these vehicles went out of service.

@ more pics-one seems to have the gun dismounted,or perhaps it just has the same body armour, but differant use.If you would like, you may use Photoshop to add your own red lines.Feel free to use other colours also. ---bil

Hi Bil,

thank You for the two interesting pics. On the first pic, I think, there is an 8 ton Zugkraftwagen (Sd.Kfz. 7) with a dismounted AA gun 3,7cm-Flak 36 or 2cm-Flakvierling 36 or 38.

Regards

Bert
