2.5cm Pak. 113(f)

Post by M19 MADMAL » 22 Oct 2008 21:24

Hi all,

At KKA Battery Lothringen on Jersey, and sited to cover the main approach road ,was placed a 2.5cm Pak. 113(f) manufactured by Hotchkiss et Cie, St. Denis.
It was the only one on Jersey and was of flimsy costruction and said to be unable to take rough handling :o

Anybody got any more info/photos of said gun?

Remember how fragile 25mm AT guns were? (for motor towing)

Abstract from chapter:
Canon de 25mm SA Mle1934 (Hotchkiss) and SA-L Mle1937 (Puteaux) L/72

The AT guns could also be directly transported on a truck or towed on additional "wheels" (train rouleur FAR).

Added a photo from Norway.
Is it possible to tell if its a 2.5cm Pak. 113(f) ?
Note the enlarged parts, one soldier with a Steyr Solothurn MP34(?), the other one with a Krag Jørgensen(?)
regards

Where was this photo taken? There is a British Automobile Association (AA) badge on the building behind the gun.

I think it's a AA approved hotel. Maybe around Calais?
