Help Id these heavy coastal guns

Hello all,

I need help to correctly identify these heavy coastal guns. Does Someone knows where these photos were taken?
The snowy landscape suggests Northern Europe. Battery??

I think it could be 28cm Sk L40 or L45 or maybe 24cm Sk L35 or L40.

Hallo

The photos are taken at MKB 3./513 Kiberg in northern Norway.
It`s 28cm for sure, but as for the caliber lenght... Thats a good question!
German sources are different on the matter, and as the guns were blown up in 1944 during the retreat from Finnmark, no post-war documents exsist....

According to the book "Tyske kystfort i Norge", the barrels were L/45, originally meant for a new battery in Gibraltar after "Operation Felix", but when these plans were dropped, the barrels were used in the old "laffetten" from the "Batterie Grosser Kurfürst", and the guns ended up in Kiberg late summer 1942....

I had a other discussion with RV when the M.K.B. Grosser Kurfürst was placed in the S 412 at Framzelle because
this would mean that the 28 cm S.K.L/50 guns there would be placed in the Küstenlafette C/37 ( turret model ) .
The original Bettunggerüst of the M.K.B. Grosser Kurfürst would be useless then , so the reuse at M.K.B. Kiberg
sounds very logical . When we see that M.K.B. Kiberg was planned late summer of 1942 this would mean that
the S 412 with the Küstenlafette C/37 at M.K.B. Grosser Kurfürst would operational early 1942 .

Hello Jos,

I wouldn't say early 42 but middle 42 or late 42. The building of the four S 412 took certainly a long part of time. I think this was decided from the spring 42, there was no urge to do this because Todt was newly operational since january 42.
Another hint that could be important is that most of the pictures we know about GK are made in Winter. This should be the 1942-1943 Winter when the Propaganda has something "new" to show. This is maybe unsignificant, maybe not..

The guns are 21 cm S.K.L/45 from W.W.1 in the M.K.B. Plantagenbatterie in Swinemünde (Świnoujście)
in 1942 the M.K.B. was rearmed with 20.3 cm S.K.C/34 . During the war this batterie was a part of
Marine Artillerie Schule I later renamed in Marineflugabwehr u. Küstenartillerieschule .

Your information ( naval source ) indicate's that the 28 cm at Kiberg was a L/50 and not a L/45 ??

Hello

In the report "Bettungsschiessgerüste für Marine-Küstenartillerie" from 1943 M.K.B. Kiberg is also listed as L/50 .
It's a pity that JEF does not participate on Axis Forum with all his knowledge .

(1) I think the 28 cm S.K.L/40 on your photo is from Wangerooge
(2) Could be H.K.B. Touquet-Plage ( 3./1245 ) 6 x 15.5 cm K.418 (f)
(3) My guess is the M.K.B. Bastion II ( Calais ) 3 x 19.4 cm K.M. 02
