It is a 28 cm SK L/45 barrel as in MKB Prinz Heinrich and no shield is visible unlike the 24 cm SK L/40 at MKB Hamburg and the 28 cm SK L/40 at MKB Graf Spee.

My best guess would be a 120 MM 45 m 1892.

Hello Ludwig,

Do You know if it was used in France by the Germans?

Hello,

As far as I know the German didn't use them. Not even in Denmark did they bother to move them to the coastal batteries in Jutland.

So, the identification as Northern France is probably wrong. It is hard to make anything out the background, it could very well be one of the Danish coastal forts at Copenhagen.

What about this gun - most likely from a coastal battery in Finnmark, Norway (copied from a current eBay-auction)?

And this one - another eBay-photo (Narvik, according to caption)?
