Gunter d'Alquen
Here's a good photo of d'Alquen relaxing. The man sitting next to him appears to be wearing Standartenführer collar insignia on his jacket, but the tunic also appears to be double breasted. Does anyone know who he is please?

This SS-Staf. looks like Diebitsch Karl Prof.Dr...
SS-Staf.d.R - 01.03.40
SS-Of.d.R - 20.04.44
01.01.42 - 01.04.42 He was kommandeur der Flakabteilung beim SS division "Wiking".
15.04.43 - 01.12.43 He was kommandeur der Flakabteilung in generalkommando III (germanisches) SS Panzerkorps.
He possibly wear on photo double breasted SS Panzer-jacket for self-propelled and anti-aircraft gun (fieldgray, panzer - black).

Re: Gunter d'Alquen
Could that really be Diebitsch? His complexion looks overall quite dark, where Diebitsch was (and was described as) blond and high-faced. Of course lighting and film can produce odd results but I still doubt. On the other hand, there are some similarities, especially around the eyes and his rather protruding ears are clearly there.
For comparision, here's a profile photograph of Diebitsch (probably from his SSO file, I have saved this photo years ago on my computer and thus could not provide exact source or copyright information ):

Re: Gunter d'Alquen
Nice photo of d'Alquen; thanks for posting it.
I had missed mty's observation on the suggested ID of Diebitsch. I believe that the comparison photo posted by mty confirms that it is Diebitsch in the first photo and that Ostmann was correct.

Nice portrait photos of Günter d'Alquen, if you haven´t seen them yet.
Re: Gunter d'Alquen
I do belive I have a quite neat colour photo of d´Alquen in my archive. Is this photo well known or should I look for it? Its a simple studiophoto showing him in SS-Stubaf (or was it ostubaf) uniform wearing a schirmmütze.
Best regards
