Looks like german Bayern-class dreadnought - either SMS Bayern or SMS Baden.

Re: Id. battleship
Hi all,
I found on Ebay another photo with a WWI german battleship. I am not expert in WW1 warships so I need your help to identify it. Bayern-class perhaps??
Regards Sturm78.

Ahoj!
Maybe a SMS Koenig class ship. I see many similarities:

ADDED LATER:
The twin 28cm turret looks an even closer fit:
http://www.navweaps.com/Weapons/WNGER_1 ... 9_pics.htm
So, as we have superfiring guns, this narrows down the field to Moltke and "Fire Magnet" Seydlitz. But my feeling is that it's the latter.

Re: Id. battleship
Thank you very much for your links, Borys.
It is difficult to insure. It could also be a battleship of the Kaiser-class with 30.5cm guns, no? The turrets with guns of 30.5cm and 28cm are very similar.

Re: Id. battleship
You might try posting them over on the kbismarck forum. Some pretty knowledgeable types over there in regards to German ships.

Yes, Kaiser class also possible. After taking a better look, I would even exclude the Koenig class, and say that - if it were a 30,5cm turret - it in fact is a Kaiser class ship. I believe we can see the Emil turret (the port wing turret).
So - Kaiser class or Seydlitz ...
Of course, I can be wrong.

Re: Id. battleship
Not Seydlitz...
Note the tall funnels above the searchlights which indicates Kaiser class.

Re: Id. battleship
Hello!
First one looks like one of Kriegsmarine pre-dreadnought battleships - Schleswig-Holstein or Schlesien, or may be one of older Reichsmarine panzerschiffs.
Second ship is British Leander-class light cruiser.
Best regards, Aleks
