#1

Post by Pitino » 26 Dec 2008, 08:11

-Does anyone know the fist name to a Gauleiter Scheer that was appointed Gauleiter of the Tyrol on August 29,1926?

-Was Deputy Gauleiter Ludwig Ruckdeschel appointed Gauleiter of Bayreuth following his execution of Fritz Wachtler on April 19,1945?

Phil,
Thanks,
I was not for sure, but I had heard that he became the official Gauleiter of Bayreuth shortly before the war ended. Thanks again.

Can anyone tell me if this Gauleiter list of Karnten(Carinthia) is correct and where I have question marks fill in the correct info?
-Walther Rentmeister(1923-1925) Unofficial Gauleiter
-Hans Mazenauer(August 29,1926-?) Unofficial Gaufuhrer
-Ludolf Haase(1927-1928) Unofficial Gauleiter
-Hugo Herzog(May 15,1927-June 19,1933) Unofficial Gauleiter
-Hans von Kothen(February 1,1933-?) Unofficial Gauleiter
-Peter Feistritzer(October 1936-February 20,1938) Unofficial Gauleiter
-Franz Kutschera(February 20,1938-May 1938) Managing Gauleiter
(May 1938-1940) Acting Gauleiter
(1940-November 17,1941) Gauleiter
-Friedrich Rainer(November 18,1941-May 8,1945) Gauleiter

Does anyone know which Gau that Fritz Erich Kraus (1888-1945) ran?

Pitino:

The subject on Ruckdeschel has been covered in another post somewhere. But the fact is that he never received any official directive or PROMOTION to Gauleiter rank. The best we can say about him is that he was an unofficial "acting" gauleiter.

In regards to the Karten gauleiters. The NSDAP in Munich NEVER "recognized" any Austrian gauleiter in that rank or postion before the actual takeover. None of the men listed with the exception of Kutschera as acting gauleiter and Rainer were ever recognized as OFFICIAL gauleiters and never appeared as such in the NSDAP yearbooks. All Austrian gauleiters before the takeover are to be regarded as unofficial.

Need help with a few dates and places:
-What SS-Concentration Camp was Josef Wagner hanged in?
-What was the day of Bernhard Rust's death (May ?,1945) and the place of death?
-What is the correct place and date of death for Franz Pfeffer von Salomon?

1. According to my information, Josef Wagner was hanged in Berlin (22nd April, 1945);

2. Bern (8th May, 1945);

3. 12.04.1968, München.

Pitino,
Both you and Mark Costa have omitted to mention Hubert Klausner, the first 'official' Gauleiter of Kärnten, 22 May 1938 - 12 Feb 1939.
Max.
