How do you get to the Wolfschanze?

#1

I'm planning on making a trip to the Wolfschanze in the spring from England and I'm wondering at the best place to get there.

Where is the nearest airport to the site? Are there any good hotels nearby?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Not up to speed in 2003, was there in 1996 when I had a hire-car. It's just outside Ketzryn - which is a sleepy hollow in the backblocks of eastern Poland. Public transport to Ketzryn then - was slow and laborious.Train - as I recall - made me choose hire-car. There were one or two hotels in K. U could also try a travel agent - there were plenty of tour-buses in the parking lot, both Polish and German. There was then a guy, Jan Zduniak of Karolewo 22/15, 11-404 KAROLEWO, Poland - organising tours of the place, he may still be there.

You might check a few other places for your holiday plans other than a Third Reich history forum, old bean, don't you think?

You might find this link of interest; one of the old buildings seems to have become a hotel:
