Thank you very much for your help. You are right, the photos aren't from Iwo Jima, in a picture from the same serie I saw Iwo Jima rd. and I tought that this was the name of the island but in fact it was the name of the campament. I've found a picture of William E. Riley and I think he is the same man

2 should be Truscott?
The enemy had superiority in numbers, his tanks were more heavily armoured, they had larger calibre guns with nearly twice the effective range of ours, and their telescopes were superior. 5 RTR 19/11/41

The first looks like Lt. General Jacob Devers. The second one could be Lucian Truscott. Do you have a higher quality image?

God bless.

I believe the Marine Corps officer two posts ago might be General Claude A. Larkin. I did a comparison in Photoshop with the photo ttvon provided and a photo of Larkin as a colonel. The eyes, creases/wrinkes, and mouths matched up almost perfectly. However, other features like the size of the faces and ears did not match up perfectly.

God bless.

Do you have the rest of the photo or a caption of some sorts? It helps to know the context. If you don't mind me asking, why do you need to know this information?

God bless.
