"Horchgerät" (Richtungshörer) https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richtungshörer

Please search the german forum "Geschichtsspuren" for "Horchgerät": https://www.geschichtsspuren.de/forum/index.php

Sturm,

About the soundlocators in posts: #19, #114, #323, #406 and #420(see picture below).
They are Kriegsmarine Horchgerät model C/39.

From description of the Wehrtechnische Studiensammlung at Koblenz:
----------
Horchgerät C39 mit elektrischen Gebern - Goerz Richtungshörer
Basis der Seitentrichter: 260 cm
Basis der Höhentrichter: 164 cm
Masse: 400 kg
Baujahr: 1940
Hersteller: Fa. Jurk Sirenenfabrik Rupert Rauch, Radeberg-Dresden
Herstellungsland: Deutsches Reich
Inventarnummer: 6285
--------------
I wonder why Goerz is mentioned.
Maybe they made the original design(?)

Thank you very much for your information, factfndr54 !! :)

So, the Kriegsmarine used different models of sound locators than those of Luftwaffe.... 8O
