Franz Schwede-Coburg received the Second Issue Blood Order among those awarded on February 15, 1939 -- according to Klaus Patzwall's list -- and most Second Issue award numbers were not recorded by Patzwall. Schwede-Coburg was an SA-Obergruppenführer, but I see no information that he was also a member of the SS.

I'm not really up on my Gauleiters so I would appreciate an answer to my question: what Gau would Mannheim have been in and who was the Gauleiter? Thanks in advance.

Thanks very much. My father-in-law apparently had a run in with him.
