THE EXTERMINATION OF THE gypsies

I know that Hitler hated the gypsies even more than the Jews.More precisely he didn't just hate them but disdained them.He thought of them as disgusting dirty and lazy beggars(which I have to admit is true).
But exactly how many gypsies were exterminated in the Third Reich and in
the occupied lands?

I don't know much about gypsies during WWII but you obviously are ignorant and hate gypsies. While there still were some gypsies in my city I had the chance to meet some REALLY rich and educated ones. So to say they are beggars.....

The persecution of the Gypsies is interesting because under Nazi racial ideology they are technically an Aryan people. Himmler regarded them as a special race, and even considered allowing the purest among them to live on their own land.

The extermination of the Gypsies is the forgotten holocaust of World War II under the Nazi regime. Gypsies don't have the power in the media like the Jews of today to remember us of their holocaust...

yep thats true,but still look at them. For example look what are they doing in romania(they are making fights and stuff) or in Vilnius/lithuania they are the only ones who dont pay taxes and stuff and live in tent city and sell drugs. but thats enough.

Observer -- The 1-1 1/2 million figure is my typo error, which should have read "1/2-1 1/2". The original source was the statement: "The latest (1997) figure from the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Research Institute in Washington puts the number of Romani lives lost by 1945 at "between a half and one and a half million." The statement may be found at:

I would like to Know how USHMRI came up with the 1.5m max, when most sources talk about appr. 0.6m max, like this one:
