This is a us 4.2 inch M 30. It is post WW II as it was introduced in 1951. It was an excellent and accurate weapon. I was trained on it and I used it in a Popular Force fortified villiage in Viet Nam.

It utilized a muzzle loaded but rifled tube which stabilized the projectile with spin operation instead of the traditional fins.
