Hello Sturm78 ,
Thanks for uploading !
Photo 1 :
* 10,5 cm SKC/32U in Ubts LC/36
You can see it by :
a) 3 x cylinders under the gun barrel ( two small +
one big in the center ) . The 8,8 cm SKC/35
have two small cylinders
b)V - cut in the mounting , the 8,8 cm have rectangular cut
c) the submarine is of type IX thus have 10,5 cm
Photo 2 :
* Italian gun ( have to checked it up )
Photo 3 :
* It is a 37 mm
( 40 mm have more bigger flash reducer and it is not
perforated )

Hi Ludvig

Thank you very much for your help. Very useful information!! :D
I just doubt about my latest photo. In the photos I've seen of 3.7cm L83 SK C30 these weapons had not flash suppressor.

See for example http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File: ... elflak.jpg

Hi Jopaerya, thank you very much for the link. No doubt my gun looks the same as in the picture of Patrick. However, no final conclusion arrived in that thread. :?

Halo Sturm78,
Thanks for your photo no 3 , it is more tricky than the
fitst evesight .
Your doubts + looking for designation is correct .
We have 3 x photos of this elusive gun :
1) Sturm78 photo no 3 in this tread
2) s.pak's photo in the kriegsmarine Flak Gun ID
3) good photo with wrong caption in Gander and Chamberlain
page 135
All these photos shows the same gun (hybride ):

37 mm Flak 36 into a naval carriage

Campell at page 257 have some words :
"The army Flak 36 was occasionally to be found in some smaller
vessels "

Hello Ludvig

It's allways tricky when it come to Naval guns , a lot off them are wrongly labelled in books and internetsite's .
Still strange the one from Gander and Chamberlain page 135 as a triple seat and the one from Sturm78 a duoseat .

Hello Jos ,
Thank you for the the input ! ( you have eyes as an eagle ! )
J overlooked the " Kantrichtmann " in the Gander & Camberlain
photo page 135 , detailed look shows 6 x seperate footrests .
So we have :
* 37 mm hybride type Jos with 3 x layers
* 37 mm hybride type Sturm78 with 2 x layers
So J have lay the research puzzle game once more - -

Hello Jos ,
Thank you for a good question , with Sturm78 photo J
made my private update on 3,7 cm Flak 42 , here is results :
* Campbell p 255 text + photo p 260
* Gander p 137 text
* Whitley : Cruiser p137
* Whitley : Destroyer p201
* Waffen - Arsenal : Sonderheft S - 25
* Marine - Arsenal : Sonderheft S - 18
* Müllern : Die leichte und mittlere Flak 1906 - 1945
* Waffen - Reue no 44
* WAFFEN - REVUE no 106
* WAFFEN - REVUE no 107

Appearence : Look likes as a 40 mm Bofors with ammo clips + front shield
in 3 x parts .

Jos asked for mountings ???
Die 3,7 cm Flaklafette C/36
3,7 cm U - Bootlafette C/39
3,7 cm Flaklafette LM 42

Look out for the " Barbara program "

Internet : See the U - 505 exhibited in Chigago , USA
The Laboe U 995 's 3,7 cm gun is a fake ( GRRR ) It is a 40 mm Bofors L 60 !!!

As kids we had fun with the 3,7 cm gun from U-993. It was still possible to move it sideways.

Hello

This should be the 3.7 cm Flak M 43 the gun is from the U 532
http://www.dockmuseum.org.uk/archive/de ... &subtitle=
http://www.dockmuseum.org.uk/archive/de ... &subtitle=
As you can see in the last picture this gun has a normal magazine feed like the 3.7 cm Flak 36 ,
maybe our unknown gun is the 3.7 cm Flak M 43 in a other lafette like the L.M. 43 or L.M. 44 .

Regards Jos
