I find it very interesting that this cruiser had one turret forward and two turrets aft, why did they lay the ship out that way? Usually every cruiser that had three turrets or more had most of the turrets forward, or did I look at the picture wrong?

That last picture is not Nürnberg. It has to be one of the 'K' class cruisers. Note the offset turrets - Nürnberg's were centreline. I can't make out what it says on the sailor's cap bands, however...
