For anyone seeking to identifity the wrong Claasen He has IK 1 but no Gold Party Badge, He could be an inspectoer of some kind as he is seen in both pics as on an inspektion tour to the Main Riding School in 1939 and the KZ or the SS Administration School in Dachau. Maybe part of Hauptamt Haushalt und Bauten of Verwaltungs Hauptamt

Further checks have revealed a pic attached showing Werner Zschintsch with the Hungarian War Minister and Edmund von Glaise-Horstenau. Compare with wrongly name Claasen pic

In the photo posted by sylviek4 (the one showing Amon Göth), the man identified by the Ghetto Fighters House people as "Claasen" is in fact Georg Michalsen (see http://www.deathcamps.org/reinhard/hoefle.html for information and a photo of Michalsen with fellow Aktion Reinhardt staff member Hermann Höfle).

Best,
~ Mike

Mike,
I'm not so sure they are the same man. There are marked differences in the facial characteristics and the shape of the left ear is totally different.

Hi everyone,

I believe the SS officer in the middle is Martin Weiss. Compare the two photos, courtesy Ghetto Fighters House.

Not sure if the above is the same Martin Weiss, but in any case, it's not the KZ commandant in any of the photos.
