Hello,

I read Volume 3 Totenkopfverbände by Marten van Dijken which complements the previous two volumes with the same quality and makes this serie a standartwork . A must for all those interested in the Totenkopfvebände and the Waffen-SS.
Of course, I'ld like to see the following to be published about the history of the Totenkopfstandarten till 1941.

One more time, bravo Marten !

Regards

Patrick

Info needed on an unknown SS-Hstuf.

Name - Gotthilf Christ
Born - 10.12.1918
Service (known) KL Sachsenhausen from 3.1944

The info comes from Führerliste from NARA, no track of him in SS-DAL 1937 or other documents that I have. Can he be one from the so called "Göringspende" also that he was a former Luftwaffe officer who was transfered to the Waffen-SS and KL Service?

Any help about this SS-Hstuf is much welcome.

Best regards
Georg

A longshot!

I am looking for more info on a
SS-Obersturmführer
Gerhard Swoboda
DoB - 3.8.1903 in Zaborse
DoD - 23.5.1940 Pais De Calais
SS-Nr - 209826
NSDAP - 5020901

He was attached to the SS-T.V. Brandeburg in 1938, and most probably KIA as an officer of the SS-T.-Div. But wich unit? And if some knows what he did before 1938 I would be much greatful for the Info, maybe someone knows if he attended a Junkerschule?

Thanks in advance

Georg

Since some time volumes I and II of the documentation "Die SS-Totenkopfverbände 1933-1939" have been out of print.
Today I am pleased to announce that a 2nd edition of these volumes was released in December 2017.
Volumes I - III together are documenting the organization, history, actions, uniforms and insignia of these TV-units in every detail.
Furthermore these volumes together contain more than 600 unknown photos, taken during the early years of this part of the armoured SS.
The new editions are available with immediate effect. Please contact [email protected]
Best regards,
Marten van Dijken
