Re: Skoda 38-42cm photos
Hello,
This 38 cm Skoda howitzer is photographied in Dannevoux, north-west of Verdun in november 1918.
It was used with german troops and left behind by austrian gunners but it was partially dismounted.
In march 1918, two 42 cm Skoda were used with germans troops in south of Saint-Quentin. In summer 1918, 42 cm and 38 cm Skoda howitzers were send in Verdun aera and used till november 1918. Only one 38 cm was left behind in very last days of the war.
Yours sincerely,
Guy François.
