And when I'm correct H. Nix was succeeded by Ostuf Harald von Saucken in 4-40, I've him at least as being commander from the 6. Batterie in 5-40 during the fightings in the Netherlands.

I do find Hstuf a low rank for commanding a Regiment, so was he maybe temporarily commander between O. Binge(CO 6-44)and K. Guse(CO 11-44/1-1-45)??? Or was he substitute for O. Binge???(since I don 't know if Guse succeeded Binge).

My information on Herbert Nix comes from his Personalakte and his son in Germany. Also, Nix was not KIA/MIA in March 1945 as described in Vopersal's book, but captured by the Soviets. Nix later escaped from a POW camp in Romania and made his way back to Germany.

SS-Hscharf.: 01.07.1939; SS-Ustuf.: 30.01.1940; SS-Ostuf.: 30.01.1941; SS-Hstuf.: 09.11.1941

EKII: 21.06.1940 (Part 6 of John P. Moore's "Führerliste" has 53 pages of documents from his Personalakten & a photo of Herbert Nix. An Aktennotiz and another document gives the date of his EKII as 21.06.1940, another one has 20.06.1940 & his hand-written Lebenslauf has 22.06.1940...you choose, but I'm going with 21.06.1940. The photo shows him wearing what appears to be an EKI, but there is nothing shown in any of the documents for this award).
