Hello to all

War with Great Britain and France!
On October 06, 1939 an order was received from the Naval Warfare General Staff, according to which submarines in the future will report:
1) Cases of ships guilty of incorrect behavior, contrary to neutrality and international law, when detained.
2) Cases of armed merchant ships.
3) Incidents involving neutral aircraft and warships.
4) Own violation of neutral territorial waters.
5) Illegal action by neutrals.
Witness statements must be obtained in writing and must be signed by them. If possible, witnesses should be brought in person. The reports must be made as soon as possible, so that they can be exploited for political and propaganda purposes in due course. However, they should not be performed if this implies an operational disadvantage for the U-boat.
The English ship SS "Lockgoil", of 9,462 tons, hit the minefield laid by U 32 in the Bristol Channel. Sinking uncertain.
U 35 - North Atlantic - 12:30 - Around St. Kilda, steamer in sight. 12:55 - Immersion and approach. On the surface next to the steamer. The Norwegian ship HIRD was stopped and investigated. No contraband. Released. 19:00 - storm, high swell, Sea 7. Surface navigation. No more occurrences. PQ: AM.
On October 07, 1939 at a meeting on the construction of warships and the expanded submarine construction program, a production of 20 U-boats per month after the start of the program is anticipated. However, the solution to the labor issue must be clarified for it. With a larger allocation of steel to the Navy, it would be possible to build 28 to 30 units as part of a large submarine construction program beginning in 1942.
The German envoy in Moscow reports that the Soviet leadership believes that Murmansk is not isolated enough to be used by German surface forces and submarines as a repair facility. The Soviets propose Teriberka as an alternative.
U 35 - North Atlantic - 00:30 - Black day for the machine. Permanent failures, sometimes both machines failed at the same time for long periods. 13:00 - Submerged for repairs. 19:00 - 23:00 - Navigation between fishing boats / lighted guards. No more incidents. PQ: AM.
