Maybe. It's hard to make an id from this photo. The shape of the warhead combined with the two igniting-mechanisms could be helpful, although the design is quite common (my area of interest and knowlege is primary on german torpedoes).
Without the caption, I would probably also have suggested french origin.

I have very limited documentation on italian torpedoes, and no illustrations on post WW1-types as far as I can tell.
Judging by the size compared to the personell in the photo, I assume it's a 21" standard naval torpedo though, so probably one of these (if the presumed nationality is correct):
* Whitehead 270/533.4x7.2 "F"
* Silurificio Italiano 270/533.4x7.2 "I"
* Silurificio Italiano 270/533.4x7.2 "M"
* Whitehead 250/533.4x6.72
* Whitehead 250/533.4x6.5

Hi Natter,

Thank you very much for your answer. I think probably is an Italian torpedo as is can see the "LUCE" marking bottom right of the image.

Hi all,

An interesting image of a Swedish triple torpedo launcher. Is this an original Swedish or a licence-built design ?

Hi all,

Another image of a Swedish torpedo launcher. I am not sure if this one is the same model of my previous image or not...

Naturally, as always a G7a(TI). The photo is probably taken before/early 1941 due to lack of distinctive markings on the gyroscopechamber indicating the improved TA-II dephtmechanism being installed.
The drillingrohrsatz suggests the ship is a zerstörer.

Thanks for your answer, Natter. About the ship I think a Torpedoboot..1923 or 1924-class

Yes, no doubt it being a torpedoboot. I don't know what I was thinking: The Zerstörers had 2 x vierling rohrsätze :roll:

No doubt, although I'm puzzled by the contraption in front of the operator's cabin which I have never seen before...

Hello Sturm78
Concerning your post # 82 from 19 Jan 2020 ,
It is an Torpedoboat type 1924 ( Raubtiere ) .
You can see the roof of an 10,5 cm SKC/28 inside the canvas and
the gun barrel from the stern gun turned to right ( on photo )

Hi all,

Are the quadruple torpedo launchers of the German pocket battleships the same model than those of the German destroyers (with the added armoured cap) ? = vierling rohrsatz
