Picture of a 75-round magazine attached to an MG 42?
I've been searching the internet for it but most of the ones I see are the 50 round drum magazine, not the 75 round one.
Could someone please provide a picture of an MG 42 with a 75-round magazine attached to it and just the magazine by itself, please?
And id possible, carried by infantry. Not mounted on an aircraft or tank.
Yes, the rounds would be 7x92 Mauser.

The "magazine" used for the MG42 is nothing more than a container, it holds one 50 round ammunition belt for readiness on the move.

that is the 75 round mag for the MG 34, the top tray is the mg34 one....in another post, I already told you THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A 75 ROUND MAG FOR A MG42.

Oh. Well, where would that 75 round mag for the MG 34 be attached to? Above it or on the side, just like the 50 round drum?

It attaches to the top of the feed cover shown in the first photo.

You cannot find some thing that does not exist. Pick up a copy of Folke Myrvang's MG34 - MG42 German Universal Machineguns it will enlighten you on the accessories available for each type MG.audrew wrote:hopeless about how this forum has never been 75 rounds magazine for MG42
The only drum magazine available for a MG42 was the 50 round Gurttommel, it held ONE fifty round belt. German WWII belts were either 50 round or 250 round, there was no 75 round belt.

A quick search on google turned this up:Angelus Domini wrote:Okay thanks but I still have yet to see an MG34 with a 75 round drum attached to it.
Google Pictures
(please note that this is the MG.34 and NOT the MG.42 The 75 round magazine for the MG.34 was withdrawn from infantry service early on in the war and only stayed on to the middle of the war in some vehicle mounted MG.34)
