Re: ► Photothread: Polizei vehicles
Hi,
I need an expert opinion on this armoured police car photo around 1921/1922 from my private collection. Unfortunately most of the hull, fenders and other details are covered by the crew members (BTW my grandfather is one of them), but you can cleary see the turret with 08/15 MG's and the iron wheels.
My guess is an Ehrhardt/21. IMO the turret of the Benz/21 is different. Or something totally different?
Opinions welcome.
Best regards
Armin

It looks like an Erhardt EV/4 armored car with solid wheels.

Armin
Your car closely resembles a circa 1927 Mercedes type 400 cabriolet - formerly known as a 15/70/100. The fenders match MB precisely and I haven't found a better match.
Thanks
Rich

Thx Rich,
This is Schupo Breslau/Oberschlesien, then I guess around 1927.
The driver is my grandfather.

Re: ► Photothread: Polizei vehicles
Hi Rich,
I see the resemblance but can't seem to come up with a Mercedes-Benz of that era with 6 bolt wheel hubs.
Cheers,

Hi ilfil,
thank You very much for posting these pics. Very interesting is the vehicle on the second pic. It is a Mercedes-Benz. Do You know the type?
Best regards
Bert
