Re: Polizei vehicles
Hi Sturm 78,
the field kitchen on Your pic is a captured French "cuisine roulante-remorque modele 1916 - 1936 M. 38". Here a pic of this field kitchen out of the book "L´automobile sous l´uniforme" by Francois Vauvillier.
Regards
Bert

Re: Polizei vehicles
Thank you very much, Bert.
Is a WWI-era kitchen, modernized in 1936 or 1938?
Sturm78
Its name is a bit confusing.Bert wrote

Re: Polizei vehicles
Hi Sturm 78,
to Your question:
You are right. The basic model was the first field kitchen trailer for motorised troops, model 1916 with wheels out of wood.
In 1936 it was completely modernized: wheels out of steel, tyres without puncture, triangle coupling, chimney with hinges to turn.
In 1938 was a second serie of improvements, but without influence on the shape: less flexible coupling, improvement of the impermeability of the cooking pots, a tough step at the back etc. (all information out of the book "L´automobile sous l´uniforme" by Francois Vauvillier).
Regards
Bert

Very interesting photo. Plate Pol-24232 was from RSH Oberdonau (Upper Austria). Dąbrowa is certainly place in occupied Poland but since we have plenty of such villages it's impossible to identify this one.carius wrote:
