In 1911, Seyss-Inquart met Gertrud Maschka. The couple married in 1916 and had three children:
Ingeborg Caroline Auguste Seyss-Inquart born 18 September 1917)
Richard Seyss-Inquart born 22 August 1921) and
Dorothea Seyss-Inquart born 7 May 1928

NSVO donates 70,000 guilders to the German Red Cross. On July 22, 1941 has mrs. The Horseman on behalf of the NSVO an amount not less than 70,000 guilders to mrs. Seyss-Inquart (wife of the Reich Commissioner) for the benefit of the German Red Cross. Mrs. Seys-Inquart thanked Mrs. De Ruiter warmly on behalf of the German Red Cross. "

Reich Commissioner will visit the exhibition in Utrecht Netherlands-Danzig.
In connection with the exhibition Netherlands-Danzig, maps, books and picture books, which from 15 April to 15 May in the University of Utrecht is held Thursday visited the State Auditor, State Minister Dr. Seyss-Inquart this exhibition with his wife. Does anyone else think Mrs. De Ruiter looks a tad like Eleanor Roosevelt, from the side anyway?

We all know the images of Arthur Seyss Inquart, but in this picture we see him as he was young: in the time that Gertrud Maschka knew him.

Wow...impressive photo. I have never seen him as a young man.
He was also perhaps one of the most intelligent of all the Nazi leaders. I'd have to check G. M. Gilbert's pages to be certain, but I think the top three scores recorded on those held at Nuremberg were Schacht 143, Seyss 141, and Göring 138.

Bei einem Weihnachtsspaziergang am Wiener Graben lernte Arthur Seyß Inquart die 17 jährige Gertrud Maschka kennen, deren Familie ebenfalls aus Olmütz zugereist war. Am 3 Mai 1913 verlobten sie sich.

At a Christmas walk at Wiener Graben Arthur Seyss Inquart got the 17 year-old Gertrud Maschka know, whose family had also been traveling from Olomouc. On 3 May 1913, she became engaged.

Deutschen Alpenvereins: in 1938, the Alpine Club, now only German Alpine Association (DAV), as the "Association of Mountaineering" in the National Socialist Reich League incorporated into physical education and Arthur Seyss-Inquart, the "leader of the German Alpine Association (DAV)" ordered. The DAV was disbanded after the war. As early as 1945 the Austrian Alpine Club was founded OeAV new to the reestablishment of the DAV in 1952 made ​​his fortune and property (cabins) administered in trust.
