Statistics on the Libya convoys

#1

Post by paspartoo » 08 Mar 2012, 15:27

I have 'The Italian Navy in World War II ' by Bragadin (1957) and i've tracked down the monthly statistics for the convoys sent to N.Africa.However i have been told that there newer sources. Does anyone have more accurate/newer data?

Note there is an important distinction between 'lost' and 'not arrived'.

Why are you looking at this? If it is in connection with ULTRA, I doubt the total numbers will tell you much.

Thanks but i want more detailed data broken down by supplies and fuel ( arrived/not arrived) by month. My goal is to check what happened to Rommel's supplies.

That's in Dati Statistici.

I'm impressed with the chart. I am not up to judging its accuracy, but the source has been recommended & the chart is well organized. Were there data for 1940 & 1943 it would be usefull for comparison to have that in the chart as well.

Thanks for posting it.

Does anyone have similar statistics for the British side? The difference must be huge.
