Can anyone ID this potential Legion Condor pilot. I say potential because he has Spanish Pilot wings.

I do not believe that these are photos of a Legion Condor Pilot - I believe they are photos
of a Spanish Escadrilla Azul pilot serving on the USSR front in 1941-1944. I attach an image
of your photo with two additional images showing Spanish Pilots who served with Escadrilla 15
in Russia. Please note the similarity in uniforms.

Theodor Weissenberger is wearing a Spanish pilot wings, however, there is no record of any victory of him in Spain.
It was unusual to see this insignia on veteran Legion Condor pilots, on their Luftwaffe uniforms, like Galland, Mölders,
Lützow, Balthasar, etc.

A board showing some highly decorated pilots in Spain.
Kraft Eberhardt *, with 7 victories claimed, was shot down and killed in aerial combat over Madrid, 13/11/36, flying a He 51 biplane.
You can see how Otto Bertram also wears the Spanish wings in its cloth version.

I thought it would be strange to see Spanish pilot wings on a German without the Spanish Cross. It may have been a situation that he earned them while he as in training or doing instruction work with the DLR.
