Hi EstEOD,

I know from Uwe that one unit (Heeres-Küsten-Artillerie-Abteilung 143) had this gun on the Eastern Front. Uwe can fill you in with more details. I have seen pictures of this gun being used on the Eastern Front (but these are rather rare).

This gun was also used in France and Norway on the atlantikwall as well as in Greece for coastal defense. It may also have been taken to Germany for training the units that used it.

I forgot to mention the gun was used in North Africa as well. I'm not sure if it was used in Italy.

It might also have been present in Belgium and Holland on the Atlantikwall as well but I am not sure.

But I'm looking for information about 15.5cm K.418(f) specifically in Estonia during 1944-1945 or how 15.5cm Stg.Gr.423(f) shells found their way to Estonia because we found a lot of them dumped into the bog (near Tallinn) a couple weeks ago.
Were Germans just dumped them before they had to retreat to the west Estonia or...??
